CaVE Database Manager 1.5:

CaVE Database Manager 1.5 is a tool to help you add a custom selection of games to your SNES, NES, N64, Genesis, GB/GBC & GBA Online apps. With it, you can quickly add many games with default values/settings/art that will at least allow the game to boot up and play. But beyond that, you can customize the values/settings/art to your liking!

It supports both both the Western app, and the South East Asian apps.
 
Additionally, it supports using other apps to create custom apps for console emulation.

  • Hiyoko: GB/GBC (Obsolete. Use NSO-GB instead)
  • Sloop: GBA (Obsolete. Use NSO-GBA instead)
  • Hovercraft (Super Mario 3D All-stars.): N64 (Obsolete in most cases. Use NSO-N64 instead)
  • ZebraEngine (Saturn Tribute): Saturn

 

CaVE Database Manager v1.5 is a replacement for the v1.4 and earlier branch. But is handled differently in order to preserve my desire to continue working on it.

Right now, it is only available to select members of the community... while additionally being available to Patrons/Doners. My focus is on making it for the portion of the community that shows their support of the project and myself, the most.

That said, it is planned to release CaVE v1.5 publicly at some point. I just require it to be stable enough to minimize issues for a wider user base. There is no date or time frame on which it will be release. It entirely relies on confidently resolving the Critical known issues.

But I can say that, when it is ready for public release again... it will be handled differently than before.

CaVE v1.5 exe and database updates will be publicly released *1 Month after they are made available to supporters.

The DisplayEx mods and DisplayEx Tool only exist because I felt I wanted to give my supporters more value for doing so. As such, they will remain exclusive to those who support me. I.E. They wont be publicly released.

*Delay time subject to change. 1 Month is just currently the maximum I would do.

There is now a Wiki for v1.5 of CaVE, the mods, and general resources.

This wiki is meant to replace many previous resources, like the FAQ, link to Preset Metadata and Compatibility sheets, links to mods, and more.
